The story of Vita Bad is a fascinating journey through the decades - shaped by innovation, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of quality. Since the very beginning, our focus has never been solely on building swimming pools, but on creating living spaces that combine enjoyment, style, and sustainability.
Today, Vita Bad AG is one of the leading providers of high-quality private swimming pool installations in German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, offering complete pool systems including all associated pool technology. Every year, we install more than 100 swimming pool projects in private Swiss gardens.
Our roots date back to 1983, when Vita Bad began as a small family business. Founders Silvia and Anton Achermann shared a vision of garden swimming pools that would become far more than simply a place to swim. Their goal was to create spaces for relaxation and well-being while also reflecting the aesthetic aspirations of each era. In its early years, Vita Bad built approximately 10 to 15 garden pools per year. Over time, the family business steadily grew. Both children - Ueli Achermann, who joined the company in 1997, and Gabi Hecht-Achermann, who followed in 2006 - grew up around pool construction and took over the management of Vita Bad AG in 2008.
Over the past 43 years, what began as a small family business with seasonal employees has grown into a company with around 35 team members. Yet the philosophy has remained unchanged: creating garden swimming pools where luxury, design, and craftsmanship come together to form unique worlds of water.
