Comeback of Florian Gnägi
The Unspunnen Schwinget takes place every six years and is one of Switzerland’s most historic and prestigious traditional wrestling events, attracting around 15,000 spectators. The very first Bernese Oberland Wrestling Festival was held in 1805 near the ruins of Unspunnen Castle. Due to its growing popularity, the event was relocated to Interlaken in 2011 to accommodate the increasing number of visitors.
It was at this very event that Florian Gnägi chose to celebrate his comeback following the knee injury he suffered last year. In the report by Telebielingue, he shares insights into how he experienced the past 12 months and the journey back to competition.
